Hatred Wraps the World in Blindness

Updated: Aug 18, 2021

By Vanessa Jakse

PROMPT — No one noticed ...

No one noticed the rainy day The sky’s dark wrath The lightning’s shaft The rain that pelted down In anger

No one noticed the empty streets The rusty cans The homeless man The puddles of water that cried In sadness

No one noticed the gentle hand The opened umbrella The covered fellow The tears from his eyes that fell With happiness No one noticed one act of kindness Since hatred wraps the world In blindness
