Paths

By Robert Tosi

PROMPT — No one noticed ...

No one noticed that the lights were on. No one noticed that the plumbing worked, the supermarket was stocked, the church bells rang. No one noticed these miracles happening every day.

We noticed, instead, her mink coat, we noticed his shiny red car. We noticed that they were different from us.

And through it all, have we noticed one simple truth? The truth that somewhere, somehow, on the path towards our dream, we are lost.

Robert Tosi is a husband, father, child, and friend.
