The Journal of Expressive Writing is proud to host a special theatrical event, showcasing Voices for Healing and Transformation. On Tues., Jan. 24, 2023, from 7-8:30 p.m., ET, writers from Kelly DuMar’s Play Lab will present monologues for the stage, performed by actors.
This evening of staged readings is free and open to the public—although donations are always welcome and 100% will go to Casa Myrna: Boston’s largest provider of shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, resources, advocacy and information since 1977.
The Journal of Expressive Writing's Founder, Jen Minotti, offers monthly Women's Writing Circles via Zoom.
These events are free and by donation following a Gift Economy philosophy, whereby 100% of donations go to rotating organizations whose mission I support. This month's circle will support Our Bodies Ourselves Today, a nonprofit organization that has been active in the feminist health movement since 1969.

Who Am I Today?: 40 Women Answer the Question, an anthology is now available through distributions channels! Journal of Expressive Writing Founder, Jennifer A. Minotti is the Editor.
In this stunning collection of poetry, prose, flash non-fiction, and memoir, 40 talented women from diverse backgrounds and locations around the world (including the USA, India, England, China, Ireland, Canada, and Dubai) answer the question-"Who Am I Today?"-a simple writing prompt that Jennifer A. Minotti (Editor) poses at the beginning of each of her Women's Writing Circles. This anthology illuminates the individual and collective power that arises when women's voices are held, supported and affirmed. "These brilliant women write not just for themselves but for every woman. This is a collection to savor, to return to, and to share."
