By Marjorie Chesebro
PROMPT — Despite ...
Ziprasidone – Seroquel – Tegretol
the newest sequence
of pills
for my mental health.
My psychiatrist labels it stability.
I am detoxifying
after
another Narcissist
In the guise of friendship
(reality check – mere convenience)
makes my agreeableness
her welcome mat.
I incur her rage
when I stand my ground
unreasonable – impulsive
mysterious malice
privacy invaded
electronic devices hacked.
Forced evacuation
invites trauma upon trauma
from police
from hospital staff.
Flight is impossible
I fight
both arms bruised
no haven for healing.
Released
I shake the dirt from my feet
surviving
another round.
