By Jeanne Andrea Di Grazio

PROMPT—Never will I forget ...

I found your old toothbrush

with the faded, frayed bristles

and a half-used tube of Colgate

in a tattered plastic bag

in the storage bin.

I cried myself to sleep

finally realizing everything you had always meant to me.

Jeanne Andrea Di Grazio has been writing poetry throughout her life as both a passion and a means for giving others their voices. She is working on her first publication, "Orange Shoes: Spiritual Detente" expected for publication in 2026. Jeanne credits her brother, John (Johnny), for having inspired her love of writing. She writes from Arlington, Virginia.
