My love for you is deep…

By Pulkita Anand

PROMPT — What is Love?

my love for you is deep, majestic and passionate

like an ocean, it’s unfathomable, it is unbounded

the waves of my heart want to hold you

my thoughts are drowned in the beauty of your eyes

like clouds drenching the parched earth

my feelings, the river, and its tributaries mingle

in your water, like rustling leaves singing with the wind

your soft, breezy touch embalms my soul

your scent oozes from every pore of mine

the petals of your flower, though close at times

but i yearn and wake for your kisses

your dewy sunny kisses fill my fractured being

living by your lovely smile, a burst of sunshine on my soul

your starry teeth shoot meteors in my eyes

let me drown in the cascade of your syllables

my morning, my evening, my nights are bright with

your light, my firefly, let me fly and soar with your heart

my gazelle-eyed beauty, my mouth yearns for your kisses
