PROMPT—Privilege ...

Privilege should be earned, not merely granted

As birth is not the means to acquire status

And no criteria gets supplanted


Perhaps we’re overdue for some hiatus

They really don’t recognize the common man

Are they now saying someone might just hate us


Of that sort of privilege, I’m not a fan

They are ignorant that their days are numbered

It’s time to muster some resolve if you can


With a few days more for them to have slumbered

Then by their heads they will be unencumbered
